Phonics Pupil Voice

In September, we adopted the Essential Letters and Sounds (ELS) phonics programme. The programme was rolled out efficiently and successfully, seeing the children learn more sounds more quickly than ever. In turn, this has allowed the children to access more in terms of reading. We’ve seen fantastic improvement and progress so far.

We thought it would be a worthwhile exercise to see how the children feel they are settling into the programme and how they’ve found it so far. We asked the children across Reception and Year 1 a broad range of questions (listed in the document below). We’ve had some really positive feedback from the children which we’d love to share. You can see their comments by clicking here.
