Amazon Visions

Last term the children were treated to a fantastic ‘Amazon Visions’ puppet show by Jose Navarro. He originates from Peru and has been using his puppets to tell people about different cultures and our relationship with the planet. His visit was part of the Botany Bay project that Year 5 have been involved in, looking at indigenous cultures and how intensive farming and over development negatively affects the land. In our show, we were transported to the beautiful creatures of the Amazonian rainforest and witnessed the effect the destruction had on this beautiful environment. One of the children said it was the best thing they’d ever seen.
