Year 1 Victorian Toy Workshop
December 14, 2017 by Ellie Linton
Year 1 have been stepping back in time and getting creative this week by taking part in an exciting Victorian toy workshop. The whole year group came together to look at a range of toys throughout history and explore the forces used to operate them and the materials they are made from. Each child then got to assemble their own toy under one-to-one supervision.
“The Victorian Workshop was absolutely fabulous. All children engaged with the workshop and thoroughly enjoyed it. It gave them a great opportunity to use materials they haven’t before and have real life experience with different tools.” Miss Jones
“I really loved making my Victorian toy, they’re very different to ours.” Gaia
“I enjoyed using the hand drill!” Elliott
